BLOGMAS Day 18: 'Frozen' inspired cupcakes! #BakingWithFifs

Hello everyone!

Do you wanna make some cupcakes? Come on let's go and bake!

I finally did some Christmas baking!! And what better way to start the Christmas baking season than with some Disney inspired cupcakes? It also gave me a chance to try out my new Wilton products which I was more than excited to use.

Ingredients:
140g baking butter
140g castor sugar
140g self-raising flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Wilton icing colours in Royal Blue and White
Wilton snowflake icing decorations
Butter icing:
175g butter
350g icing sugar
2-3tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Wilton icing colour in White

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius!!
Method:
1. Cream the sugar and butter together until pale and fluffy.
2. Alternate between the eggs and sifted flour, beating between each addition.
3. Add vanilla. Beat well.
4. Separate mixture into three bowls.
5. Add white icing colour to one bowl, some white and blue to another, and royal blue to the last. Mix well.
6. Place a dessert spoon of each mixture into the prepared cupcake cases to create a marbled effect.
7. Bake for 12 mins. Let cool.
8. I used Mary Berry's butter cream icing recipe and added white instead of pink. Find here: http://www.lovefood.com/guide/recipes/21638/mary-berrys-vanilla-cupcakes-with-swirly-icing-recipe
9. Decorate with the icing and snowflake sprinkles. Add some glitter and serve!
